Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy is the premier provider of outpatient therapy services in the St. Louis metro area, seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team.

Under direct supervision of a licensed PT, you will assist with implementing care plans, coordinate with staff, and contribute to high-quality patient care. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for growth through residency and mentorship programs.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapy Assistant Degree or certification.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Delegates and directs supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance care.
• Communicates with supervising PT about patient needs, assessments, and modifications.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Physical Therapy Assistant Degree or certification required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
