Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy in Creve Coeur, MO seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to work on-site with employees suffering work-related acute orthopedic injuries. You will support the supervising PT and coordinate care with the on-site medical team.

This role includes occasional care at an alternate location to ensure clinic operations and patient access, plus opportunities to participate in injury prevention and workforce wellness initiatives within a premier outpatient network.

Qualifications

• PTA degree or certification required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Physical Therapist Assistant

SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to primarily work on-site treating employees with work-related acute orthopedic injuries at Boeing. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and compassionate clinician who is dedicated to ensuring patients are seen in a timely manner and who can effectively support coordination of care with the on-site medical team under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

In addition to the onsite responsibilities, the PTA will also provide patient care at an alternate location to support clinic operations and patient access. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to assist with on-site injury prevention services and contribute to overall workforce wellness initiatives.
