Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Outpatient in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our treatment team. This full-time role focuses on orthopedic and sport rehabilitation for both operative and non-operative cases, under the supervision of a licensed PT.

You will help implement the therapy plan, coordinate with staff, and participate in patient education for better outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

BSW Rehab Outpatient in Midlothian, Tx is looking to grow our treatment team by bringing on a physical therapist assistant. This role requires knowledge of orthopedic and sport specific rehabilitation for operative and non-operative cases. In the role, you will be able to utilize your skills and expertise to treat the citizens of Midlothian and surrounding communities and have exposure to athletes from local schools. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to grow and expand their clinical knowledge and expertise.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services. Consistently communicates with supervising PT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction. Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Qualifications
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.
