Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for full-time inpatient rehabilitation. Under a licensed PT, you will help implement therapy plans for patients with brain, spinal, and orthopedic injuries, and supervise support staff to ensure quality care.

You will participate in educating patients and families, coordinate with the PT for assessments and plan modifications, and contribute to a learning-oriented team with ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care.
• Communicates with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients and needs for assessment or modification of treatment plans.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care within the scope of practice.
