Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy in Bridgeton, MO seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient rehabilitation program as a Float PTA. The role requires dual MO/IL licensure eligibility and involves floating among five eastern locations including Sunset Hills, Arnold, Olivette, Florissant and O'Fallon, IL.

Under supervision of a licensed PT, you will implement the therapy plan of care, supervise staff, and participate in patient education.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a PTA program is required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services.
• Consistently communicates with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Hiring for: RN, RT, PT, OT, SLP, PTA, OTA!

SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work in our specialized outpatient rehabilitation program as a Float PTA. This position will require the candidate to be, or willing to obtain, dual licensed for both MO & IL. The primary responsiblities of this position will be to float between the 5 most eastern locations - Sunset Hills, Arnold, Olivette, Florissant and O'Fallon, IL. There may also be need to cover some of the other locations as well.
