Job summary

Lake Placid Health & Rehab in Lake Placid, FL, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. You will support licensed physical therapists in delivering individualized care focused on mobility, strength, and independence for our residents.

You will educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced nursing facility.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2 years of experience in a similar role.
Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Assisting physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Conducting exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and mobility.
Educating patients and their families on proper techniques and safety precautions.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress.
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
