Job summary

Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) IP Rehab Services is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role requires designation as a Florida-licensed PTA and a graduate from an accredited PTA program, plus BLS certification.

Work schedule includes two Saturdays per month, with potential for additional weekdays as census allows.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing Physical Therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Education/Training

Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant.

Licensure/Certification

Current license in the State of Florida as Physical Therapist Assistant.
Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates ability to appropriately treat patients according to professional standards of practice.
• Interpersonal communication skills include the ability to coordinate patient care with other team members, and counsel patients and their families.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
