East Suburban Sports Medicine Center in Penn Hills, PA, seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will work with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver hands-on rehabilitation and patient education in a supportive outpatient setting.

This role focuses on patient-centered care, individualized exercise programs, accurate documentation, and teamwork within a fast-paced clinic. A CAPTE-accredited PTA program graduate with PA licensure or activelicensure process is

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Pennsylvania PTA license or ability to begin licensing promptly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
• Provide direct patient care in outpatient orthopedic setting with empathy and professionalism.
• Instruct patients on exercise techniques, body mechanics, and home programs.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and HIPAA-compliant records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and team members for coordinated care.
• Monitor patient progress and report to supervising therapists for plan adjustments.
• Assist with clinic operations and patient flow management.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment.
• Stay current with best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education
• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
• Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and home exercise programs to support their recovery and independence
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, Physical Therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising Physical Therapists to support treatment plan adjustments
• Assist with clinic operations and patient flow management, demonstrating strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient treatment environment
• Support patients with compassion and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Stay current with best practices in physical therapy and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant license or ability to begin the licensing process promptly
• AHA or Red Cross BLS CPR certification
• Outpatient orthopedic experience, including exercise instruction and manual therapy techniques (preferred)
• Sports rehabilitation or injury prevention experience (preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patient populations
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently
• Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on patient care and demonstrate exercises
• Self-directed work ethic with a proactive approach to problem-solving and clinic efficiency
• Demonstrated ability to follow treatment protocols and work collaboratively within a team-based environment
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements
• Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care with a commitment to supporting patient goals and outcomes
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Strong attention to detail in documentation and patient care delivery
