A well-established and thriving rehabilitation clinic is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to collaborate with the Physical Therapy Department. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on patient care while exhibiting strong communication skills when engaging with families.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge gained through academic coursework, training, and hands-on experience to support patient and family needs.
- Display proficiency in executing treatment plans and assess their effectiveness, adjusting as instructed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in appropriate therapies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance of care while offering feedback to the department supervisor.
- Operate therapy equipment, including treatment tables, exercise machines, mobility aids, wheelchairs, pulley systems, weights, and other tools commonly used in Physical Therapy.
- Participate in HIPAA training and compliance programs, adhering to federal privacy and security regulations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Wyoming.
- CPR certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to satisfy all automobile insurance provider requirements.
- Willingness to attend educational seminars on billing, insurance, reimbursements, Medicare, and other relevant topics.
