Are you a compassionate, energetic Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a career in an orthopedic private practice? We are seeking someone to help us build lifelong relationships with patients and their families as we assist them in achieving their health and wellness goals through physical therapy.

Your day-to-day duties would include:

• Modalities
• Therapeutic exercise
• Manual therapy
• Daily documentation in a team setting with the Physical Therapist
• Helping patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
• Reading instructions from Physical Therapist
• Working directly with Physical Therapist to assist patients
• Completing administrative tasks, like scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
• Teaching patients techniques like balance training

Indirect supervision is helpful but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

Salary: Negotiable up to $25/hr

Work Location: In person

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an associate degree/two-year Physical Therapist Assistant Program approved by the Commission for the Accreditation of Physical Therapist Assistant Education
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania
• Indirect supervision license preferred but not required
• Demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties required of the position
• Can meet the physical demand level of the position

Physical Demand Capacity:

• Requires manual dexterity, general strength, and endurance
• Lifting: 5-35 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, shoulder to overhead
• Carrying: 5-10 pounds for 40-50 feet
• Pushing: loads of 5-150 pounds on casters, runners, or pulleys
• Sustaining grip for 1-2 minutes of 40-50 pounds
• Guarding a lift load of 120-140 pounds
