Blue Palms Health and Rehab Center in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. You will provide targeted therapies under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and educate patients and caregivers to support safe mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Subacute rehab, skilled nursing, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, and functional mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress and tolerance to treatment.
• Communicate patient status, progress, and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety awareness, and mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with nursing, OT, SLP, and medical staff to support patient goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and state guidelines.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.

About the Role

Blue Palms Health and Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house subacute rehabilitation team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Our in-house rehab model allows for strong interdisciplinary teamwork, consistent care, and a focus on quality outcomes—not productivity pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Carry out individualized treatment plans to improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, and functional mobility
