Job summary

Weeks & Gowen Physical Therapy, a member of Fusion Physical Therapy Partners, seeks a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Charlestown, NH team. You will assist licensed therapists in delivering evidence-based programs and coordinate care to help patients recover and return to activity.

Your caseload is primarily orthopedic with sports medicine, musculoskeletal and vestibular considerations. You will document care in the EMR and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages.
• Drive to continually learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, according to the therapist’s treatment plan.
• Assist patients with walking, transferring, and dressing as necessary.
• Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care.
• Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ needs; promote healthy lifestyles by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Document patient care services via EMR.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Your Role

As a PTA at Weeks & Gowen Physical Therapy, you will assist physical therapists in providing quality, evidence-based, and individualized programs of physical therapy that include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to help patients achieve optimal recovery and well-being. Your caseload will be primarily orthopedic with a variety of sports medicine and musculoskeletal diagnoses as well as vestibular and other conditions.
