Job summary

Reliant Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver high-quality therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will support patient care, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and contribute to continuing education and program development.

The role requires graduation from an APTA-accredited program and a valid PTA license, with opportunities for professional growth within Reliant Rehabilitation across multiple communities.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality therapy.
• Maintain professional demeanor and comply with state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.
• Support development and sustainability of the physical therapy program and participate in continuing education.
• Ensure accurate billing practices and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols within the facility.
• Communicate effectively in English for documentation and care coordination.

Responsibilities

This Physical Therapy Assistant delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring high-quality care and positive engagement with both clients and facilities. Services should align with the principles of physical therapy and adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians (as applicable), and managing patient cases. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s dedication to excellence in service and client relationships. Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT.
• Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
• Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
• Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
• Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
• Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and ensuring compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.
