Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Physical Therapist Assistant role located in Belmont, NC. The Physical Therapist Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans focused on balance, vestibular, orthopedic, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, assisting with therapeutic exercises and modalities, monitoring patient responses to therapy, and documenting patient progress in accordance with clinic standards. The role involves providing quality patient care, educating patients and caregivers on exercises and safety, and collaborating with the clinical team to optimize outcomes. The Physical Therapist Assistant will also help maintain a clean, safe environment and support clinic operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Foundational clinical skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to support evidence-based treatment plans.
• Demonstrated commitment to Quality Patient Care and patient-centered outcomes.
• Knowledge or experience in Orthopedics, balance, and vestibular-related conditions.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program and current PTA license (or eligibility) in North Carolina.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for working closely with patients and multidisciplinary staff.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Comfort assisting patients with varying functional levels, including those at risk for falls.
• Prior outpatient or rehabilitation clinic experience is preferred but not required.
