Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Physical Therapist – PRN Days in the Acute Care Rehab Department. Responsibilities include evaluating and administering treatment to improve patient function and overseeing support staff.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment to patients.
• Provides patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
• Oversees support staff; participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
• Participates in mandatory education and licensure requirements.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience working in an acute care setting.
• Orthopedics and neuro experience.
• Medical surgical nursing experience.

Education & Credential Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required).
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed Physical Therapist from FL Department of Health (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
