Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized care plans. You will implement treatments, reassess progress, and provide discharge education with home programs.

A Massachusetts PT license and BCLS are required, with strong communication and teamwork skills essential to succeed. Candidates should have a PT degree from an accredited program and be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary setting within a health system

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete evaluations of chief complaints and functional limits.
  • Develop care plans with measurable goals.
  • Plan and implement treatment activities to improve impairments.
  • Reassess and modify treatment plans as patients progress.
  • Discharge planning and patient/family education, including home programs.
  • Complete timely documentation of evaluations and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Demonstrate time management and meet productivity standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development and mentorship programs.

Job Description: Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complete and thorough evaluations of patients' chief complaints, physical impairments, activities of daily living, and functional limitations
  • Develop comprehensive plans of care with appropriate, measurable, and functional goals
  • Plan and implement appropriate treatment activities to improve identified physical impairments and functional limitations
  • Provide ongoing reassessment and modification of treatment plans in response to patients' progress
  • Offer appropriate discharge planning and patient/family teaching, including home programs and recommendations for self-care
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress notes
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Demonstrate effective time management and meet department productivity standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance requirements and regulations
  • Participate in professional development activities and mentorship programs
Qualifications Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapy license
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification

Preferred
  • Experience in acute physical therapy settings

Education and Experience

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current BCLS certification
Pay Range

$38.50 - $53.91

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
