Barren Ridge Physical Therapy—Stuarts Draft, VA is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic and sports therapy team. You will assess, plan, and execute treatment programs, working closely with physicians and staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state of Virginia license and CPR certification.
• Able to create and implement outpatient orthopedic and balance treatment plans.
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Possesses basic PC skills including EMR, database software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required.
• Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
• Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Holds responsibility for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
• Implements physical therapy treatment program and provides essential physical therapy treatments.
• Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
• Ensures timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

At Barren Ridge Physical Therapy—Stuarts Draft, we offer a wide range of specialized services, including Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Workers’ Comp, Balance/Fall Prevention, Foot and ankle, Sports Enhancement, Vestibular, Functional Movement, Therapeutic Taping, Trigger Point Dry Needling, and medically supervised fitness programs.
