Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for full-time days to support patients at home, helping them move, function and heal in familiar surroundings.

The role offers a competitive salary range ($115,000–$140,000) with comprehensive benefits including medical plans, PTO, and wellness programs. You will coordinate care, reexaminations, and discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active physical therapy license in the assigned state.
• Graduate from CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year of home health PT experience preferred.
• If less than one year experience, regional clinical leaders must approve and mentoring/residency participation.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
