NaphCare is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our team of medical professionals at the ASPC‑Tucson in Tucson, AZ. Pay ranges from $53.00 to $58.00 per hour, depending on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.

As a Correctional Physical Therapist, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to incarcerated individuals. You will work in a controlled environment where security is a top priority, and the workdays are never dull. The role includes a variety of duties that keep you engaged and allow you to make a difference for a diverse patient population with complex medical and dental needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and assess patients’ range of motion, strength, balance, and coordination.
• Review medical histories and imaging results.
• Identify and diagnose underlying physical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ specific needs.
• Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and self‑care strategies.
• Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide documentation and maintain patient records.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Arizona.
• Must possess an active BLS/CPR certification (AHA required).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, compassion, and attentiveness.

• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.

Physical Capabilities

Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and move patients up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, while maintaining good balance and endurance.
