Job summary

The Physical Therapist at Regency at Northpointe - Spokane evaluates, plans, and administers physical therapy services in line with current standards to ensure top-quality care. You will maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with all disciplines to ensure ethical, effective treatment.

  • Earned Doctoral or equivalent degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the employing state.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy to residents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants with training and guidance.
  • Develop and document individualized treatment goals and plans.
  • Instruct patients and families in home exercise programs and equipment use.
  • Record patient progress and coordinate with physicians for plan modifications.

Job description

The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, organizes and administers physical therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations and guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. The physical therapist maintains informative, accurate, and timely documentation and records management and works collaboratively with all disciplines, adheres to the professional standards of practice guidelines and code of ethics as set forth by the state board of physical therapy.
You will:
  • Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing periodic training and guidance as required to promulgate the educational needs of the technicians and to also enhance patient care.Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives, and prepare such records and reports as may be required.
  • Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and provide a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals and providesafe and timely patient care. Develop realistic and documented treatment goals that comply with and satisfy the intent of the referring medical staff.
  • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Physical Therapist shall administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.
  • Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluate, fit, and adjust the patient's prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification as require and coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in a treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.

You currently:
  • Possess a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy institution or Possess a Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist in the state in which you are employed.
