APTA New Mexico is seeking Physical Therapists for its outpatient orthopedic clinics in Los Alamos and Santa Fe, NM. This PT-owned practice is committed to helping people move better, live fully, and push beyond perceived limits.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based orthopedic and movement-focused physical therapy care.
• Address physical, functional, and psychosocial aspects of recovery.
• Progress patients toward functional and performance goals.
• Educate patients in injury prevention and long-term wellness strategies.
• Provide excellent continuity of care through strong communication with patients, families, providers, and team members.

Our client is an independent, PT-owned, outpatient orthopedic and performance-based practice serving Northern New Mexico in Los Alamos and Santa Fe. We are seeking Physical Therapists for each location committed to helping people move better, live fully, and push beyond perceived limits.

Patient Care & Clinical Environment

Primarily an orthopedic caseload

One-on-one, 45-minute patient visits

No overlapping or double-booked appointments

Clinical Care

• Perform thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based orthopedic and movement-focused physical therapy care.
• Address physical, functional, and psychosocial aspects of recovery.
• Progress patients appropriately toward functional and performance goals.
• Utilize skilled manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and movement analysis as appropriate.
• Educate patients in injury prevention, movement optimization, and long-term wellness strategies.
• Provide excellent continuity of care through strong communication with patients, families, providers, and team members.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Submit charges and billing daily, per clinic standards.
• Maintain compliance with payer, Medicare, and clinic guidelines.
• Demonstrate effective time management and operational efficiency.

Patient Experience

• Create an exceptional patient experience rooted in empathy, professionalism, and connection.
• Build trust and strong therapeutic relationships.
• Help patients feel empowered, educated, and supported throughout their care.
• Contribute to strong patient retention, satisfaction, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• Current Physical Therapy license in the State of New Mexico (or eligibility)
• Current CPR certification

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range of $75,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience and scope of responsibilities
• Productivity bonuses available, with the structure discussed during negotiations

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling within clinic hours of 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Potential for 10-hour workdays, depending on the agreed schedule
• No weekends
