A Physical Therapist a new 90-bed acute care facility with a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, opening Spring 2026. The hospital will offer comprehensive emergency services and advanced surgical care to the Gainesville community.
In this position, you will evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans in close collaboration with physicians and the broader care team. Day-to-day work centers on delivering evidence-based interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life, while monitoring progress and refining therapy plans as patients advance through recovery. You will maintain accurate, timely documentation of outcomes and educate patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is central to the role, ensuring cohesive care and smooth transitions throughout each patient's recovery journey, with additional opportunities to mentor therapy assistants or students.
Days with rotating weekends, core hours 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with schedules typically staggered based on hospital needs.
