Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Speech Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental needs.

You will work with families to implement IFSP goals, delivering therapy in the child’s natural environment and coordinating with caregivers to maximize progress. The role values flexible scheduling and the ability to serve families in their homes and local communities; a California SLP license and pediatric EI experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license required.
• Pediatric experience with Early Intervention preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and collaborate with families to set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to empower caregivers and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment, including homes and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
