Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated, full-time Physical Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic clinic in Ripley, TN. You will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and document progress per established guidelines.

Qualifications

Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Current Tennessee PT license.
CPR certification.
Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment.
Basic PC skills including EMR, databases, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
Review referrals and patient records to determine PT needs.
Provide direct patient care per established protocols.
Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
Oversee care by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
Develop a plan of care with goals and a comprehensive program.
Implement treatment and provide essential therapies.
Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
Ensure timely documentation and reports.

Job Description

STAR Physical Therapy is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with a commitment to excellence to join our team as a full-time Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic clinic in Ripley, TN. What You’ll Do

Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports

Qualifications

Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program
New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Current state of Tennessee Physical Therapist license
CPR certification
Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
