Qualifications
  • Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Physical Therapy license in the state
  • Experience working with children in school or pediatric settings (preferred)
  • Knowledge of motor development assistive devices and accessibility modifications
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators administrators and other service providers
  • Compassionate adaptable and student-focused approach
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess students gross motor mobility and physical functioning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in the school setting
  • Train staff and families on positioning mobility strategies and assistive equipment
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate timely documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
