Job summary

TheraPeds Partners in Plainfield, IN is seeking a part-time, on-site Physical Therapist (PT) to support K-12 students in a school setting. You will deliver direct PT services, assess students, develop IEP-aligned treatment plans, and monitor progress within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• State License as Physical Therapist.

• Identify children with deviations in physical, developmental, gross/perceptual and functional motor areas that may affect their educational program and to provide direct service as appropriate.
• Guide therapy in determining appropriate goals, selecting treatment methods, and measuring effectiveness of intervention.
• Use observation, standardized and non-standardized techniques as tools.
• Strong foundation in planning and implementing treatment, exercises, manual therapy within developmental therapeutic models to support students within the school setting.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in use of technology.
• Fingerprint background clearance.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications.

About Us Ther aPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with schools to provide Physical Therapy (PT) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. This is a part-time, on-site role as an Physical Therapist (PT) serving a school located in Plainfield, IN.

The Physical Therapist (PT) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Position Details

• Part-time school-based opportunity with a 6-10 hour weekly schedule
• 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026 through May 2027)
• Provide physical therapy services to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade
• Small caseload of approximately 9 students
• Deliver direct physical therapy services, complete functional mobility evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student participation, mobility, and educational success
• Participate in IEP meetings, monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete assigned case management responsibilities
• Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, treatment planning, meetings, and administrative responsibilities
• Fully on-site, in-person school-based position with a manageable caseload
• Receive ongoing collaboration and support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team
