Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Physical Therapist to lead rehabilitation initiatives and guide patients through therapy within the care continuum. The role emphasizes evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and educating patients and families to promote health.

Vestibular experience is preferred or candidates should be willing to be trained; adherence to PHI guidelines and collaboration with the care team are essential.

• Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
• Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
• Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

A Brief Overview

Organizes and conducts Physical Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. The Physical Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health.
