Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Bronx, NY is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. You will provide pediatric therapy services, conduct evaluations, and work in homes, clinics, and community settings to support children birth–21.

We offer a flexible schedule, travel to cases across NY metro area, and a supportive leadership team with clinical supervision. Licensed PT in NY required; 1–2 years with children preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Licensed Physical Therapist.
• 1–2 years of experience working with children birth–5 preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to assigned cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and evaluations to children birth–21 in natural settings.
• Educate families on intervention strategies to facilitate carry-over.
• Work in homes, daycare centers, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the therapy plan and document progress; prepare progress reports.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Job Responsibilities for a Physical Therapist:

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth – 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Physical Therapist:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Physical Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Evaluations $128-$175/ hourly$66.00-$120.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during thePhysical TherapistJob interview process.
