Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our developmental center providing support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will deliver rehabilitation services within an interdisciplinary environment that includes medical, nursing, dietary, vocational, social, recreational, transportation, and habilitation supports. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting functional independence, mobility, and overall quality of life for the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate claimants/clients by administering tests and measurements (e.g., range of motion, gait and functional analysis, neurological assessments) to determine individualized rehabilitation needs.
• Provide and oversee ongoing assessments of rehabilitation progress.
• Prepare, maintain, and transmit measurement and assessment records; report findings to interdisciplinary teams as requested.
• Contribute to the development and presentation of individualized treatment plans, including goal setting and physical therapy interventions.
• Conduct periodic reassessments and revise treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Participate in continuing education, in-service training, research initiatives, and program development activities.
• Assist in training and mentoring pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students, physical therapist assistant students, licensed physical therapy assistants, and therapy aides.

Required Skills:
