Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Georgia or eligibility.
  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced certifications (NCS, OCS, or CSRS) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility.
  • Provide hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs.

  • Evaluate patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and post‑surgical conditions through comprehensive physical therapy assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans to improve patients’ mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
  • Provide hands‑on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and neuromuscular re‑education tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and strategies to support ongoing recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic patient care.
  • Document all assessments, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, clinical judgment, and evidence‑based best practices.
  • Ensure safe and appropriate use of rehabilitation equipment and modalities in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • Support and mentor therapy students or new staff as appropriate, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
