Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Manchester clinic. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and provide direct care per established protocols, while documenting progress and coordinating with physicians and insurers.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. The role requires TN licensure, CPR, and autonomous work capabilities, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program.
  • New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license (PT).
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
  • Basic PC skills including EMR, databases, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • Review physician referral and medical records to determine required PT treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
  • Oversee care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
  • Complete a written plan of care, set goals, and develop a comprehensive program.
  • Implement PT treatment program and deliver essential treatments.
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
  • Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and progress reports.

Job Description
What You’ll Do:
  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
  • Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
  • Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Current state of Tennessee Physical Therapist license (PT)
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
  • Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office
