Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) is seeking Physical Therapists to join our collaborative outpatient rehabilitation team. We focus on exceptional patient care, clinical growth, and strong collaboration with orthopedic physicians to optimize function, recovery, and outcomes.

New grads are welcome and will benefit from a two- to three-month mentorship, a path to an Orthopedic Residency Program with full salary on a reduced schedule, and quarterly bonuses up to $11,500.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and licensure in Illinois or eligibility.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician orders and perform comprehensive patient evaluations with individualized treatment plans.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based patient care and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, notes, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff; supervise rehabilitation technicians as appropriate.
• Maintain active Illinois PT license and complete CEUs.

Key Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Physical Therapist provides high-quality outpatient rehabilitation services in collaboration with IBJI's orthopedic physicians and clinical team.

• Interprets physician orders - Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and functional goals
• Provide exceptional, evidence-based patient care
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans and goals as appropriate
• Establish appropriate discharge plans and follow-up recommendations
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, and home exercise programs
• Maintain compliance with billing requirements and ethical billing practices
• Collaborate and develop positive relationships with the physicians team at IBJI
• Supervise and provide direction to Rehabilitation Technicians and other support staff as appropriate
• Maintain an active Illinois Physical Therapy license and complete required CEUs
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including mentoring, clinical education, special interest groups, and community outreach
• Other duties as assigned

• Monday - Friday (Open to creative scheduling)

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
• Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
• Ability to lift 25 pounds as neededAbility to stand, sit, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to work with electronic medical records and other computer systems for extended periods

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
