Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI) invites you to join our outpatient orthopaedic team as a Physical Therapist. You will assess, treat, and guide patients recovering from injuries and surgeries, focusing on musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sport medicine care.

The role emphasizes collaborative care with physicians, PTAs, and a multidisciplinary team, aiming to restore function and improve quality of life for patients across the Tampa Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
• Active Florida PT license.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized plans of care.
• Providing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and other evidence-based treatments.
• Educating patients and families on diagnosis, rehab process, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborating with physicians, PTAs, athletic trainers, and the broader care team.
• Documenting all evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Monitoring and ensuring patient safety during all treatments.
• Supervising and delegating responsibilities to PTAs and therapy support staff.
• Acting as a clinical instructor for PT students as requested.
• Participating in community education, research, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Maintaining compliance with state, federal, and FOI policies.

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, you'll play a critical role in outpatient orthopaedic therapy, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and sports medicine care. Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and other evidence-based treatments

About You

Preferred Experience (a Plus, Not Required)
