Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Houston seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver functional rehabilitation in home, school, work, and community settings.

You will evaluate and treat clients, develop plans, and collaborate with the rehab team to help clients reach real-world goals while enjoying autonomy and a balanced schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted PT license in the practicing state.
• BLS/CPR certification per state requirements.
• Preferably 1+ year of physical therapy experience.
• Knowledge of neurological rehabilitation techniques.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; capable of lifting up to 100 pounds with safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess and adjust plans; attend staffing and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home/community safety recommendations.
• Communicate needs and progress to the care team, patient, and family.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to improve patient outcomes.

Skills

What you will do:

Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources.
• Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members.
• Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes.

What you will need:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from a college or university with accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current, unrestricted license as Physical Therapist by state in which practicing.
• Current Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification in accordance state regulations.
• A minimum of one year’s work experience as a physical therapist preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
