The dynamic in‑house Regency Hermiston Therapy Team, led by a compassionate clinician dedicated to training the next generation, serves residents in our expansive, state‑of‑the‑art therapy gym. The therapy team enhances quality of life for residents, embodying the Regency spirit of working with seniors and their families to bring independence to living and quality to life.

You Will
  • Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing periodic training and guidance to meet educational needs of technicians and to enhance patient care. Maintain documentation in accordance with clinic directives.
  • Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and offer a full range of services in support of patient referrals and safe, timely care. Develop realistic, documented treatment goals that meet the intent of the referring medical staff.
  • Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on a patient evaluation. Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, including non‑manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily‑living activities, and use of assistive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Administer soft tissue mobilization using appropriate techniques and body physiology principles.
  • Record treatment, response, and progress in patient charts or automated systems.
  • Instruct patients and families in home treatment procedures. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, coordinate with physicians and staff to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment programs, and integrate therapy with overall health care. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns as required.

You Currently
  • Possess a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, or hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree accredited by CAPTE/ATPA.
  • Maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist in the state of employment.
