Job summary

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Hampton, VA, seeks a Physical Therapist for outpatient care focused on personalized, one-on-one treatment with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll work across orthopedics, sports rehab, pelvic floor, lymphedema, vestibular, and hand therapy to help patients move better and recover stronger.

You’ll perform evaluations, develop plans of care, and educate patients, while documenting progress and collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Virginia state licensure as Physical Therapist upon hire.
  • 1 year PT experience preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations, determines PT diagnoses, and develops plan of care.
  • Provides PT services to improve function, mobility, and reduce pain.
  • Assesses patient progress and updates care plan per guidelines.
  • Educates patients and families about the recovery process.
  • Documents progress and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient setting, you’ll have the opportunity to provide personalized, one-on-one care with no double booking, allowing you to focus on what matters most: helping your patients move better, recover stronger, and achieve their goals.You’ll collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary rehabilitation team while gaining exposure to a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, pelvic floor, lymphedema, vestibular therapy, and hand therapy. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence and top-performing patient experience scores, you’ll join a team that values quality care, collaboration, and meaningful patient relationships.What you will doPerforms evaluations, determines PT diagnoses, and develops plan of care. Performs physical therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, improving health, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disability.Evaluates and assesses the patient timely, based on principles outlined by practice guidelines, evidence based guidelines and regulatory standards (state & organizational policies, requirements of accrediting bodies, etc.).Builds trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings.Assists in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students.Carries out treatment plan and modifies to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria and return to optimal level of care.
