Fremont Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat residents with temporary or long-term disabilities, relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing through exercises, heat, ultrasound, massage and other modalities.
Under physician orders, you will assess neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, develop plans of care, supervise aides as needed, and maintain patient records.
Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and treats residents and patients with temporary or long term physical disabilities to relieve pain, restore function, and promote healing by applying the therapeutic properties of exercise, heat, ultrasound, massage and other forms of treatment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Under a physician's order, performs the following within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
May provide onsite supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehab Aides, and provisional physical therapists per state practice guidelines.
Shift work may be required. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. In compliance with applicable, law, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Participates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law. By his / her signature below, employee agrees to adhere to and oversee communication of privacy guidelines relative to the confidentiality of residents' protected health information.
