Cleveland Clinic Health System Florida Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our patient-centered team. You will evaluate and treat patients, plan rehabilitation programs, and collaborate with physicians across Weston outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or certificate (minimum requirement).
• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the APTA or equivalent.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).
• Current BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Internship experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments per physician referral.
• Review and evaluate the patient’s response to treatment.
• Make recommendations to the physician regarding continuation or discontinuation of therapy.
• Provide documentation of each patient visit per departmental policies.
• Maintain and care for all equipment and apparatus.
• Ensure economical use of supplies and utilities.
• Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit.

Physical Therapists test muscle strength, the amount of flexibility in joints, and the ability to walk or move. Treatments include exercises to increase strength, range of motion, endurance, and coordination, the use of heat, cold, electricity, or even aquatics to relieve pain, and teaching exercises and body mechanics to avoid injury or regain function. Since this position requires physical interaction with patients, Physical Therapists are highly connected with patients and build stronger patient relationships than most other health sciences specialists. Often, physical therapy patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important. Equally important is giving patients the drive and support they need to work hard and regain their health.

A caregiver in this position works a day/evening rotation from 7:30AM – 4:00PM or 10:00AM – 6:00PM.

The position requires flexibility in hours and locations, covering Weston outpatient PT Clinics at Krupa, the YMCA and potentially Parkland.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

• Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring the care, safety and wellbeing of the patient.

• Review and evaluate the patient's response or lack thereof to treatment.

• Make recommendations to the physician relative to the need to continue or discontinue physical therapy treatment.

• Provide appropriate documentation of each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

• Be responsible for the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus.

• Be responsible for the economical use of supplies, linens and utilities.

• Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

• Assist in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’s Degree or certificate

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or related international degree

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

• Internship experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Outpatient experience
