Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide home-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers and their families across California.

The role features flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay ($75–$85/hour) based on experience, sign-on bonus, and mileage reimbursement, with opportunities to grow clinically within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy license (DPT) required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycares, community settings).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual typically).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
