Absolute Healthcare Resources in Alexandria, VA is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide medical support to clients in their homes with a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include home visits, initial and ongoing assessments, documentation, medication administration, and educating patients and families on home health care strategies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical therapy program.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Proof of CPR certification.
• Compassionate, friendly demeanor with excellent communication.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes for one-on-one visits.
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify needs.
• Assess conditions, chart observations, and perform evaluations including vital signs.
• Administer medication as prescribed by the physician.
• Educate patients and families on home health care strategies and devices.
• Provide effective communication to patients, families and health professionals.

• Assess patients’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the patient’s physician
• Educate patients and their families on proper home health care strategies and procedures, and make recommendations for devices or tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
• Provide effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals
