Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist on a Per Diem/PRN basis. The PT will assess mobility and function, develop and implement treatment plans, and assist with discharge planning after hospitalization.

The role involves post-surgical rehab, pain management, patient and family education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize mobility and independence in the outpatient or inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state Physical Therapy license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients: Evaluate mobility, strength, balance, endurance and functional limitations.
• Create individualized treatment plans to improve movement and function.
• Assist patients in post-surgical rehabilitation (e.g., joint replacements).
• Apply pain management techniques to reduce pain and improve comfort.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, devices, and home safety.

Location:Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

We are seeking aPhysical Therapist. ThePhysical Therapist (PT)willhelp patients regain mobility and function after illness, injury, or surgery through assessments, exercises, and early mobilization. They alsoassistwith pain management, educate patients and families, and support discharge planning to ensure safe transitions after hospitalization.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assessing Patients:Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations
• Creating Treatment Plans:Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient’s condition and goals
• Post-Surgical Rehabilitation:Assistpatients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures)
• Pain Management:Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort
• Patient & Family Education:Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home

Qualifications
