Job summary

St. Mary's Health & Clearwater Valley Health in Cottonwood, Idaho is seeking new graduates for a hands-on physical therapy role spanning inpatient and outpatient care.

Under the Rehabilitation Director, you will evaluate, plan, and administer treatments, perform assessments, coordinate care with other providers, and maintain HIPAA compliance. Relocation assistance and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in physical therapy (PT) required.
• Current state PT license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Basic understanding of physical therapy services across inpatient/outpatient care.

Location: Cottonwood

Combination of inpatient and outpatient setting

Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Director, evaluates, plans, and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to inpatients and outpatients.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs a comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessment of assigned patients as evidenced by clinical documentation.
• Develops a Plan of Care to promote optimum function and safety as documented in the clinical record.
• Coordinates patient care with other providers ensuring optimal patient care and effective communication as noted in the clinical record.
• Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in physical therapy.
• Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
• Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Degree in physical therapy (PT)
• Current state PT license
• CPR certification
• Basic understanding of physical therapy services across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job.
• On feet a minimum of 8-12 hours, depending on length of shift.
• Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Read charts, dials, equipment settings, literature and other printed and handwritten materials.
• Work with equipment and computers (keyboarding).
• Marys and Clearwater Health operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients.
• Marys and Clearwater Health Clinic locations have operation hours based on locations and patient needs therefore availability to work all clinic shifts, weekends and holidays as appropriate for location will be expected and required.
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
