Southeastern Virginia Training Center (SEVTC) is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team in providing compassionate, person-centered care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that promote mobility, functional independence, safety, and overall quality of life. Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions while supporting each individual's personal goals, preferences, and highest level of independence. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the health, well-being, and functional abilities of the individuals we serve in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), federal, state, and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) standards.
At SEVTC we serve citizens diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are an intermediate care facility operated by the Department of Behavioral health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) where we support individuals in state-of-the-art homes with accommodations unique to their specific needs.
