Job description

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability of physical therapy assigned clients.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy.
• Current Arizona Therapist license.
• Maintains current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or other approved educational programs.
• Practices physical therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice.
• Must have or eligible for State Licensure. Licensure must be obtained within one year or as per state law.
• Must have the ability to evaluate clients for appropriate therapy.
• Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
• An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
• Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
• Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
• Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push 50 pounds.
• Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
• 2 years experience in an acute care or rehab setting.
