Kastle Systems, Falls Church, VA, is seeking a Physical Security Systems Programmer to program security configurations and support other departments. The role emphasizes maintaining procedures, staying current with new technologies, and delivering reliable programming to enable Sicherheits systems across facilities.

The position involves developing templates via PHP, documenting testing, and providing internal training and support across Kastle regional offices.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Degree or certification or equal experience in data entry, MIS, program design, hardware maintenance, or operating systems.
• Two years’ professional experience as a computer technician or programmer; or four years’ PC experience.
• High math/logic aptitude scores.
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent documentation/technical writing skills.
• Ability to interface and communicate with coworkers clearly.
• Good typing skills and ability to operate a standard terminal/keyboard.
• On-call shifts; ready for instant emergency response 24 hours a day.

The TechOps Programmer (Security Systems Programmer) is responsible for programming all security configurations; providing technical and programming support to other departments as required; maintaining and refining existing procedures, programs, and policies; and staying abreast of new technologies and techniques concerning software-related subjects and new Kastle products. Also included are the ability and tendency to see, formulate, and implement solutions to administrative, technical, and operational problems.

• Perform testing of systems as required over the phone with the Installation department.
• Troubleshoots equipment or system problems.
• Documents all testing.
• Develops new templates using PHP scripting to promote efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Performs special projects as assigned by the Tier II leadership.
• Advises co-workers of best practices, including requiring proper circumstances for system activations and programming requests.
• Provides support and training for other Kastle Regional offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Degree or certification or equal experience in one of the following: data entry, management information systems, program design, hardware maintenance, operating systems.
• Two years’of professional experience as a computer technician or computer programmer; or four years’ experience on an IBM or Macintosh compatible personal computer.
• High math/logic aptitude scores.
• Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent documentation/technical writing skills.
• Ability to interface and communicate with coworkers in a clear and professional manner.
• Good typing skills and ability to operate a standard computer terminal and keyboard.
• Work scheduled oncall shifts and be ready for instant emergency response 24hours a day.
