Job summary

The Periscope Group is seeking independent contractor Occupational or Physical Therapists to perform one-time, in-home medical need assessments across the United States. You will evaluate home safety and equipment needs and provide recommendations to help members stay independent.

• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in an individual’s home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care that empower members to maintain independence.
• Complete straightforward documentation through our secure, user-friendly online portal accessible from any device.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist (PTAs and COTAs not accepted).
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (may be purchased at the time of job offer).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from member homes.
• Proficient with technology: able to navigate online portals, upload documents, and use preferred device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) for all work tasks.
• Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Home safety assessment background.
• Knowledge/familiarity of durable medical equipment.
• Experience with home modifications.
• Work history with diverse medical conditions.
