The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), located in Little Rock, is seeking applications from board-certified or board-eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physicians. The role involves contributing to an established department with opportunities to provide generalized or specialty (SCI, EMG, TBI, Cancer, or Pain) rehabilitation services. These services will be delivered at our affiliated inpatient rehabilitation hospital, outpatient neurorehabilitation and musculoskeletal clinics, and through acute care rehabilitation consults. The candidate should be committed to providing top-quality patient care through a strong interdisciplinary approach and working to improve health disparities in Arkansas.
Established in 1984, the UAMS Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation offers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth rehabilitation care. The department includes subspecialists in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Pediatric Rehabilitation. The department provides inpatient rehabilitation at Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute and outpatient services at the Orthopedic and Spine Hospital. The department is also a leader in telerehabilitation and education, hosting the only ACGME-accredited PM&R residency program in the region.
