Southfield School in Shreveport, Louisiana, seeks an experienced professional to serve as a physical education teacher. Qualified candidates for this position should have at least a bachelor’s degree in education (or a closely related field) with a current certification.

In the role of the Physical Education (PE) teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a dynamic PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy habits across multiple grade levels. You will assess both group and individual student progress, adapting activities to support a range of abilities and developmental needs. In addition, you will formally communicate student progress multiple times throughout the year. You will also be responsible for supervising students during PE classes, on the playground, in the lunchroom, and during school arrival and dismissal times. Participation in school-wide committees and attendance at occasional after-scores functions and events will also be expected. This position follows the academic calendar.
