Certification in K-12 physical education is required; letters of eligibility will be considered. Responsibilities include planning engaging PE lessons, managing classrooms, and maintaining student records in accordance with district policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
• Valid South Carolina teacher's certificate in the assigned teaching area.
• PACE candidates with letters of eligibility will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students and state standards in the subject area.
• Establishes clear objectives for all classroom activities and communicates these objectives to students.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
• Utilizes effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
• Strives to implement the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals.
• Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

7. Takes all the necessaryand reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.

8. Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation.

9. Performs all otherduties and responsibilities as assigned.

TERMS: 190 days. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
