Township High School District 214's John Hersey High School is seeking a passionate Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our team. We value student-centered learning, safety, inclusion, and collaboration within professional learning communities.

The ideal candidate holds IL PEL with Senior HS endorsements in Physical Education, is comfortable using instructional technologies, and is willing to contribute to co-curricular activities as a coach or sponsor.

Qualifications

• State of Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) with Senior High School endorsements in Physical Education.
• Willingness to collaborate with Physical Education and Health Departments to develop new coursework and to continually improve programs.
• EL/ML endorsement preferred, but not required.
• Strength and Conditioning experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to teach courses at various academic levels.
• Must have excellent teaching skills with the ability to work in diverse learning environments.
• Willingness to support building co-curricular activities such as coaching or sponsorship.
• Commitment to working with an interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and refine curriculum.
• Proficiency in using instructional and multimedia technologies.
• Active member in professional organizations related to Physical Education and Health Education.

Responsabilités

• Develop, deliver, and continually refine Physical Education and Health courses.
• Collaborate with PE and Health Departments to implement innovative, student-centered lessons.
• Participate in professional learning communities and interdisciplinary teams.
